POMONA (CBS) — A man in his 20s was killed early Tuesday morning when he was struck by at least two vehicles on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Pomona, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pedestrian was fatally injured west of North Dudley Street at 4:21 a.m., CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said. His name was withheld, pending notification of relatives.
It was unclear why the man was on the freeway, Villalobos said. Several vehicles stopped at the scene, and officers interviewed the motorists, he said. A SigAlert was issued for the No. 3 and 4 lanes for four or five hours while an investigation was conducted.
