LAUSD To Open Whooping Cough Booster Shot Clinics

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — All students entering the seventh through the twelfth grades must provide proof of a whooping cough immunization before they can enroll in classes.

To encourage compliance with the new state law, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will offer several free clinics for schools scheduled to start in early August.

Students must have a completed LAUSD immunization consent form and their current immunization record to receive the whooping cough booster.

District Clinic locations:

•  July 27; July 29 (7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) : Zelzah Clinic, North Area Nursing Office, 6505 Zelzah Ave, Reseda, CA

• July 26 - July 28 (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) : Sun Valley High School, 9171 Telfair Ave., Sun Valley, CA

• July 30 (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) : Polytechnic Senior High School, 12431 Roscoe Blvd., Sun Valley, CA

• August 2; August 3 (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) : Arleta Senior High School, 14200 Van Nuys Blvd., Arleta, CA
