Stars, Musicians Take To Twitter To Remember Amy Winehouse

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — They tried to make her go to rehab...but she said no, no, no.

Amy Winehouse, the oft-troubled and drug addicted Grammy-winning blues artist, was found dead Saturday in her London home. And almost within minutes of the report of her death, celebrities, stars and musicians from both sides of the pond took to twitter to express their sadness, grief and respects.

And many of them, people who have battled addictions of their own.

MC Hammer tweeted: "The demons of addiction have claimed the life but not the SOUL of a beautiful woman. #RIP Amy

Garry Shandling: Amy Winehouse. My heart just sank when I heard the news. The loss, and the sense of pain she must have been in is just tragic.

Katy Perry: RIP Amy Winehouse. May she finally find peace.
