While I do not wish death to anyone, I do not feel sorry of Amy. She reminds me of another druggy, Janis Joplin. Both messed around with drugs, both probably got what they deserved for such foolish actions.

    • Roger Thornhill

They got what they deserved? I’m glad, though, that you typed the disclaimer that you don’t wish death on anyone, when your comment apparently proclaims otherwise. You’re all heart.

      • noneoff

If you play with fire you’ll get burned. If you use drugs, you play with your life. Whether I’m all heart or not, those people were playing with their lifes and lost.

    • No Boo Hoo For Winehouse

I completely agree with you, noneoff. Amy knew what she was doing and what danger she was messing around with. So why does she now deserve our sympathies? ‘Cause she’s dead? I don’t think so. Those that loved her tried to get her help, but she was too selfish just like all the other addicts in this world to clean up her disgusting life. Now this world has room for another body that hopefully will value the life that it has been given. Amy made her choices and now she reaps the consequences, which is death. I don’t feel sad for that.

this is what happens when you do drugs. what a sad waste of a young life…….

  • shey

Wow.. sad….. drugs kill u bad…. My heart goes out to her family… but seriously this could have been prevented… sorry to say its seems like Amy Winehouse didnt care.. :(

  • Phiilip

Fame + Fortune does not equal happiness sadly…

  • Dom

Another no-talent “celebrity” waste of time. There are countless people out there trying to cure cancer, eradicate AIDS, save lives and yet people like this are venerated. It’s sad.

    • Mufon

“…countless people out there trying to cure cancer, eradicate AIDS, save lives…” And others blogging useless, classless comments about the dead. It’s sad.

      • No Boo Hoo For Winehouse

Because Amy’s dead means that people like Dom can’t say what he thinks about her? That’s ridiculous. Amy Winehouse WAS a filthy, low-life, drug-abusing, selfish, talent-less person. Death doesn’t erase all that she was. It doesn’t raise her quality of life to a higher level. She was what she was and now she’s dead because of it. I’m not sad for that.

  • Andrew

How many of these idiot celebs bothered to tweet anything about the massacre in Norway. Those were people who died and had no choice in the matter. This is a sad society.

    • Karen

I completely agree Andrew. But I am more concerned with the Norwegians. I really didn’t know all that much about Amy Winehouse. What filtered to me in my life was the fact that she was a druggie. I was not surprised to hear about her death but I was sad. It always saddens me when young people die. And I hope that others who may be addicted to drugs learn her sad lesson before it’s too late.

It is so sad that people do not understand the disease of Addiction.
We don’t do Drugs for Fun,We do drugs to kill the deep pain that we can never, ever ever be rid of until We can find a way to get rid of it permanently.
Until we can understand that how our Deep Pain has so many symptoms and most of them are hidden because of the human psychic can not take that kind of pain we Addicts are forever doomed

    • noneoff

Drug addiction is never the answer. Thats why we have therapist, to try and talk out the problems. It may time, but you do not die.

    • No Boo Hoo For Winehouse

Yes, addiction is a disease, but you do realize how much help is out there, don’t you? Amy had the choice to get help and she chose not to. Now she’s dead. Oh well. Her choice.

FYI, there IS a cure for addiction. IT’S CALLED NEVER GETTING STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE. It’s very simple: just say NO!

      • No Boo Hoo For Winehouse

I also meant to add that I, too, had extreme pain that went very deep for a long number of years. I didn’t pick up the bottle or a crack pipe to make me better. I went to therapy. I engulfed myself in music that validated my feelings. I talked with peope who related to me and to my problems. I cried. I screamed. I GOT THROUGH IT. Pain and suffering IS NOT an allowance for someone to start using drugs and alcohol. It isn’t. You can get through the pain without becoming an addict. I did. And Amy could have too.

      • Art

It is true a lot of people don’t turn turn to Alcohol & Drugs to deal with their Pain, but if you are raised to not complain or be tough then the drugs and Alcohol do seem like the only way out.the only way out.
Addicts and or Alcoholics a lot of the times don’t even know the real problem because they have numbed themselves out so good they can’t even see a better solution until it is probably too late Like Amy. I’m am not complaining. For me I have a wonderful life, but there are so many people out there that will never have a chance at recovery because they are told just to suck it up.and that makes it worse.
. Oh well I’m glad so many of you can just say NO.

  • Ty Abimbola-Sodipe

GOD REST YOUR SOUL AMY. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THOSE SHE LEFT BEHIND. MAY THE TRUE COMFORTER BE WITH YOU AT THIS TIME.. AMEN, IJMN!

  • Angela

“There before the grace of God go I”. All you sanctimonious people judging Amy should remember that.

And to those of you/us struggling with the addiction of drugs, food, sex, gambling, porn, whatever, I’ll be praying for you. May God spread His mercy on us all!!

    • noneoff

God is too busy with running the universe to be bothered with trying to save the individual.

      • Angela

God died on the cross to SAVE the individual for life AFTER death. Every breath we take is on borrowed time and temporary. Our souls live for eternity. WHERE our souls live depends on our choice of accepting Christ’s salvation while we’re still alive.

    • ………………………………..

      I’m scr wed then….

Yet this puts no fear in my heart not so much as other things…

How’s it going? 4:28 am huh. You girls are crazy.
      I don’t know who Mr.noneoff is BTW.

  • noneoff

God or those who say the son of god did not die on the cross. Some man was crucified by the Romans, and is now depicted as Jesus Christ the savior. None of this will help Amy Winehouse.
