ANAHEIM (CBS) — Authorities Friday rescued 24 people from a ride at Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim.
The visitors became stranded about 6:30 p.m. when the California Screamin’ roller coaster came to a sudden halt.
Theme park officials say the coaster stopped itself automatically after a rider’s backpack fell onto the track.
All riders were safely removed from the ride.
