2 Long Beach Liquor Stores To Be Torn Down
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Two Long Beach liquor stores deemed nuisances are expected to be torn down Saturday.
Demolition on the former Sim's liquor store on East Willow Street began about 10 a.m. and by noon, work at the old Whistler liquor store on Pacific Coast Highway started.
Both properties were purchased by the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency after they were declared nuisances under a city ordinance, the Press-Telegram reported.
