Final 'Harry Potter' Film Debuts With $500M Weekend
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2" has made box office history with a record opening.
The final Harry Potter film raked in nearly $170 million this weekend in the United States alone.
The previous record was held by "The Dark Knight," which made $158 million during its opening weekend in 2008.
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2" has so far made nearly $500 million worldwide.
