Honda Driver Killed In Head-On Collision With Porsche Driver In Sherman Oaks

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Honda driver died in head-on collision with a Porsche in Sherman Oaks shortly after midnight Friday.

The accident in the 3700 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard was reported at 12:09 a.m. near Valley Meadow Road, authorities said.

The Honda driver, headed north, swerved onto the wrong side of the road and struck the Porsche head-on, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Karen Rayner said.

The name of the dead man was being withheld, but Rayner said he was a 28-year-old Los Angeles man.

A 61-year-old Encino man driving the Porsche suffered minor injuries, according to police and firefighters.
