The festival also will feature a group of chefs from Baja, Mexico who will cook for the first time in the United States.

"It's likely that most of us don't have the opportunity to travel to Baja to go experience some of the amazing culinary talents there. And in particular, we wouldn't know where to go," Dawson said.

Some dishes the Baja chefs will be creating include beef cheek tacos and sea urchin tostadas.

"We have entertainment, demos, music, its really just a fun day in the park to enjoy some amazing food and celebrate the best of LA," Dawson said.

Admission to the festival can be purchased in advance online. A limited number of tickets available at the event. The $60 tickets include food, drinks, beer, cocktails, tequila tastings, giveaways, chef demos, kids activities and parking.

The event is broken up into two sessions: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. features family friendly fun while the 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. session is for 21 years of age and older only. The 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. session has already sold out. Only 1,500 tickets are being sold for each portion of the festival.
