Pine Tree Topples Onto 2 Homes In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS (CBS) — Two families were displaced Thursday morning when a giant pine tree fell on top of their houses.

The tree fell in the 4800 block of Lemona Avenue, near Camarillo Street, around 1:30 a.m.

Both families were home at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Inspectors will now determine if it's safe for the residents to reenter their properties.

It's unclear what caused the tree to topple.
