Flights Delayed From LAX To Chicago Due To Thunderstorms

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Chicago O'Hare International Airport were being delayed Monday due to thunderstorms in the Chicago area, the Federal Aviation Administration reported.

The departure delays from LAX to Chicago O'Hare International were averaging one hour and 23 minutes, FAA officials said.

Thunderstorms driven by 75-mph winds knocked out electricity to about 615,000 people in the Chicago area, according to the Chicago Tribune.
