(CBS) – Jered Weaver will get the start for the American League during the All-Star game at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday.

Weaver (11-4), leads of baseball with a 1.86 ERA.

The three other candidates to start, Justin Verlander, James Shields and Felix Hernandez are all starting on Sunday, making them ineligible to pitch in the All-Star game.

No word on who will be starting for the National League between Roy Halladay and Jair Jurrgens, with Clayton Kershaw considered a long-shot to get the nod.
