STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Three people were critically injured after their vehicle veered off a freeway transition road in the San Fernando Valley and overturned.

The vehicle went off a road while transitioning from the eastbound 101 Freeway to the eastbound 134 Freeway about 6:55 a.m. Sunday, Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Two people were thrown from the vehicle and paramedics freed a third from the wreckage. All three were reportedly in critical condition while en route to hospitals.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
