Rockefeller Imposter Pleads Not Guilty To Murder

ALHAMBRA (CBS) — Christian K. Gerhartsreiter pleaded not guilty Friday morning in Alhambra Superior Court to murder charges in connection in a February 1985 slaying.

Gerhartsreiter, 50, is accused of killing John Sohus, a San Marino man whose body was discovered nearly a decade later. He was living in a guest house on property owned by Sohus' mother in San Marino, Calif., when the victim disappeared.

Gerhartsreiter has been serving a four- to five-year prison sentence in Massachusetts for a 2009 conviction in the kidnapping of his 7-year-old daughter.

Gerhartsreiter came to the U.S. in the 1970s and assumed many identities, including Clark Rockefeller, a supposed relative of the wealthy family.
