Sheen's New Show Is Reportedly Based Off 'Anger Management'

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Charlie Sheen may soon be getting paid to do the very thing that got him fired from CBS' hit show, "Two and a Half Men".

Sheen's new show, which is reportedly based on the 2003 film "Anger Management", will require him to throw lots of temper tantrums.

Sheen's character will be based on Jack Nicholson's portrayal of Dr. Buddy Rydell. However, he will play a former jock who earned his master's degree in social work during the offseason, according to TMZ.

"He becomes a counselor to defendants in the criminal justice system with anger management problems. But, of course, Charlie's character will have anger issues of his own," TMZ reports.

No networks have signed on with the project yet, but TMZ reports a deal with Lionsgate is in the final stages of negotiations.

Joe Roth, who produced and owns the screenplay, is working with Sheen on the new show, according to TMZ.
