9 Injured In 2-Bus Accident In Westlake District

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Nearly a dozen people were injured when two buses collided Wednesday morning in the Westlake District.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, an eastbound Metro bus hit a St. Vincent Hospital shuttle bus that was attempting a turn in the 1800 block of Wilshire around 10:30 a.m.

Officials said nine people were injured and six were transported to a local hospital in fair condition. Both buses were operable following the crash, and the St. Vincent Hospital shuttle bus was empty.
