Search Underway For Driver In Deadly Hit-And-Run In San Pedro

SAN PEDRO (CBS) — A search was underway Sunday for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 34-year-old man in San Pedro.

 

Authorities say the victim, identified as Miguel Aquino Quihua of Wilmington, was hit about 2:25 a.m. by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck with tinted windows.

Relatives of the victim say he was going to assist a friend who had drank too much when he was hit.

Paramedics rushed Aquino to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center where he later died.

Police say the suspect's vehicle also had large tires and a wide gold or silver stripe running across the body of the truck and may also have some front-end damage.
