Search Underway For Suspect In Alleged Golf Course Sex Assault
LA QUINTA (CBS) — Authorities are looking for a man in his mid-30s accused of sexually assaulting a 68-year-old woman on the golf course in La Quinta.
The incident, which occurred about 5:25 a.m. Wednesday, took place at the La Quinta Country Club.
The victim told investigators she was walking along the golf path when she saw a man lying in her way.
"After walking past the male, the victim was pushed to the ground and sexually assaulted by the subject," Sheriff's Lt. Jim Armstrong said.
The suspect is described as clean-shaven with some dark hair growing in on a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black nylon shorts and white tennis shoes and running toward Washington Street, Armstrong said.
