LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A judge Friday ruled that the jury in the Sharon Stone negligence suit will not be visiting the 53-year-old actress’ residence.
Judge Rex Heeseman rejected a motion by Peter Krause’s attorney for a trip to Stone’s home to see where the accident occurred.
Krause filed suit against Stone back in August 2008, claiming he tumbled down a “large, concealed drop-off” while installing speakers in the back yard of the property two years earlier.
“In light of who the defendant is I feel it’s appropriate to not visit her home,” Heeseman said.
Krause maintains he fell onto a fence in Stone’s yard and that it gave way, causing him to tumble into the adjoining property.
Another pretrial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, with jury selection set to begin Wednesday.
