RESEDA (CBS) — An investigation was underway Friday into an early-morning crash that left three injured, including two Los Angeles police officers.

The collision occurred approximately 2 a.m. at the intersection of Saticoy and Wyandotte in Reseda, according to authorities.

Multiple patrol cars were responding as back-up to an emergency call when a car driven by a 24-year-old civilian allegedly failed to yield to one of the vehicles.

The impact of the crash caused a power pole to tumble and took down a fire hydrant, creating a geyser, authorities said.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she was being treated for minor injuries. One of two of the officers was treated and released, while the third suffered a broken arm and was undergoing x-rays earlier this morning.

Reseda Boulevard between Saticoy and Wyandotte will be shut down until at least 11 a.m. for an ongoing investigation.

    Saticoy and Wyandotte in Reseda.
Those two streets go parallel to each other, not an intesection. The reporter must have been one of those in the accident and likely sufered a HEAD INJURY. he just got mixed up about the location.

    Illegals somehow involved

  3. Pip says:

Yes, those streets are parallel, which is why the accident is reported as being between them…

And the only person involved besides the cops was 1 girl, dressed like she was coming back from the bar/club. Given that it happened just after 2am, I’d be very surprised if alcohol was not a factor. No “illegals”.

Good thing these commenters aren’t reporters….
