Matt Kemp Isn't Getting Traded

(CBS) -- About the only thing that would surprise Dodger fans at this point would be to see the team trade triple-crown threat Matt Kemp.

It's not going to happen, CNN Sports' Jon Heyman tweets, "#Dodgers are not only not trading MVP candidate Matt Kemp but haven't gotten one call on it. His $7M isnt whats breaking McCourt anyway"

Kemp is enjoying one of the best starts to a season in recent history, hitting .336 with 22 HRs and 62 RBI.

The Dodgers may be sellers at the trading deadline with the club trailing San Francisco by a 9-game margin in the NL West.

Los Angeles has many attractive options for teams to improve their own clubs, recently the Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds sent scouts to watch Hiroki Kuroda pitch. Kuroda would have to waive his no-trade clause for any deal to go through.

Jamey Carroll and Rafael Furcal may be dealt as well.
