(KFWB 980) — Long Beach is the last place in the United States that builds large military aircraft.

You can see the hangars just off the 405 freeway near Cherry Avenue. It’s Boeing’s facility — well, more like a city.

In fact, it is so large it has it’s own zip code and it’s own police and fire departments. All to build the C-17 Globemaster.
