Angels Continue Their Dominance Over Dodgers In Freeway Series

(CBS) -- The Angels picked up right where they left off last season when they outscored the Dodgers 20-8 in a 3-game sweep at Dodger Stadium, with an 8-3 victory over the Dodgers on Friday night.

Erick Aybar's 2-run homer in the 5th inning off Dodgers rookie Rubby De La Rosa gave the Angels the lead and they never looked back.

Howie Kendrick followed in the 6th with a solo blast.

De La Rosa gave up 5 runs in 6 wild innings.

The lone bright spot for the Dodgers once again was Matt Kemp, the NL leader in Home Runs slugged a 2-run shot in the first inning off Dan Haren, his 21st of the season.

Kemp had gone 9-straight games without blasting one out of the park.

The Angels have now won 19 of their last 27 interleague game against their regional rival.

The announced attendance was just over 42,000 tickets sold.

The Dodgers sold at least 52,000 tickets to each of the three Freeway Series regular season games in 2010.
