Authorities Search For Husband Of Woman Found Murdered In Angeles National Forest

SANTA CLARITA (CBS) — The public's help is being sought to find a Santa Clarita man whose wife was found murdered in the Angeles National Forest.

Renata Klein, 59, was found dead off Big Tujunga Canyon Road by public works employees on Wednesday. She and her husband had not been seen since June 11.

An autopsy determined that Klein was murdered. The circumstances of how Klein was murdered were not released.

Dusan Klein, also 59, is being sought by authorities. He may be driving a gold-colored 1999 Jeep Cherokee, license 4FLN519, with a rear-window sticker that says "American Travel." He is described as about 6 feet 2 inches tall, 190 pounds with brown hair and eyes.

A spokeswoman at the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said detectives had no evidence Dusan Klein had committed a crime.

Video of the couple's home on Wildwind Road showed a padlock on the front door and what appeared to be a foreclosure notice on the garage.

Sheriff's deputies said the couple was last seen by friends about 7 p.m. Friday, leaving their home in the Jeep with their black-and-white cocker spaniel.

Anyone with more information as to Klein's whereabouts can call sheriff's Detective Diane Harris at (323) 890-5500.
