The body of 46-year-old Dr. Marianne E. Cinat was found by a friend Saturday morning behind her home in the Rossmoor area near Los Alamitos.
Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jim Amormino told the Orange County Register that investigators have found nothing suspicious, but investigators will need to do more tests to determine the cause of death.
Cinat was medical director of the University of California, Irvine Regional Burn Center.
UCI spokesman John Murray says the university is devastated by the loss.
