Parole Hearing To Be Held Monday For Giovanni Ramirez

<
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The man suspected in the brutal beating of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow is expected to attend a parole hearing Monday.

Giovanni Ramirez, 31, is in custody on an alleged parole violation, but hasn't be charged in the beating.

Stow, a 42-year-old paramedic and father of two, suffered a fractured skull and brain injuries in the March 31, attack at the Dodgers home opener.

He remains hospitalized in San Francisco.

Meantime, an elite division of the LAPD that handles high-profile cases has taken over the investigation.
