LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An autopsy was pending Sunday on an elderly woman whose body was found after crews knocked down a fire at a Beverly Glen home.

Flames gutted the two-story house in the 2100 block of Basil Lane near Beverly Glen Boulevard about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

After putting the blaze out, firefighters found the body of a 79-year-old woman in her bedroom.

The victim’s 50-year-old son, who also lived there, was injured. He was taken to a hospital and was expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
