2 Arrested For Allegedly Killing, Setting Fontana Man On Fire
REDLANDS (AP) — Two people have been arrested on suspicion of killing a San Bernardino County man whose burning body was found on a road.
Redlands police arrested 21-year-olds Keith Costella and Michelle Luevano on Tuesday. Both remained jailed Wednesday.
The burning body of 49-year-old Craig Kubitz of Fontana was found last year on a freeway frontage road in Redlands.
Kubitz and Costella worked together doing odd jobs.
Investigators believe that Costella shot him when Kubitz went to his Highland home to collect a $700 debt.
Authorities say Costella and Luevano kept the body for five days, then wrapped it in a tarp, drove to Redlands, doused the body with gasoline and set it on fire.
