Pregnant Woman Among 10 Hurt When Car, Bus Collide

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — At least 10 people, including a 25-year-old pregnant woman, were injured when a car and a Metro Transit Authority bus collided in Jefferson Park.

The accident, which occurred about 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, took place on 7th Avenue at Adams Boulevard, said Officer Gregory Baek of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

David Ortiz of the Los Angeles Fire Department reports that ten people were taken to area hospitals, one of which is pregnant and listed in serious condition.  Another woman, believed to be 30, was listed in critical condition. Eight others suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

    Looks like there is going to be a lot of suing going on…Specially from those 8 minor “injuries” … ‘Oh damn it! My neck hurts!’

    If they do, they should sue the driver of the driver of the car. It made an illegal left turn in front of the bus. But of course, given the “leadership” of the City, the City will end up paying.
