Very sad! this should be a school safe zone, not a place where they kill a boy! looks very bad. I will pray for the family and the child. 😦

  11. RaisinGirl says:

I agree. If you don’t f**k around like that than you are less likely to die in that manner. However it is sad that this boy will never get to learn that lesson in life. Hopefully a few of his friends will!

By the time you hear the siren it’s already too late
One goes to the morgue and the other to jail
One guys wasted and the others a waste
It goes down the same as the thousand before
    No ones getting smarter
    No ones learning the score
Your never ending spree of death and violence and hate
Is gonna tie your own rope, tie your own rope, tie your own

What you say is true for any kid growing up. Hanging around with the wrong crowd isn’t a racial thing, nor a class thing. Rich kids get caught up with the wrong cliques too, but it’s more rare due to the wide array of options available to them.

I live here in Anaheim, right in the middle of a very predominantly Latino neighborhood. By culture, and due to their compressed living conditions, all children are ushered out into the neighborhood by around age 9. Their homes simply become a place to sleep at night, as there is absolutely nothing for them there after school. Out in the neighborhood, they only have one choice, and that’s to pick up a clique and hang. There’s nothing for the clique to do, so they eventually end up on skateboards and start tagging By age 12-15, they take notice of whatever gang is running their neighborhood, and that gravitational pull starts. They start participating in small burglaries (cars, laundry rooms, etc) and quickly get involved with drugs. They evolve over a 3-5 year period from a local tagging crew to gang members. The roulette wheel either spins death or a thrust into the criminal system.

It’s repeated over and over. It cannot ever change because their own families cannot provide alternatives, so these kids will always ‘adopt’ a new family that can provide alternatives. It’s usually not a healthy alternative, and these results are proof. RIP R2

What a very unfortunate death. I am not sure what kind of life this young boy lived – with the huge earrings in his ears at the age of 12 – it gives me an idea. However, no one at the age of 12 deserves to die. I struggled with my son when he was 17 – and thankfully he outgrew those terrible teenage years – and I think this young boy should have had the same chance. No one in this situation wins – you have two mothers who went to bed last night crying; one for the killer and one for the victim – NO mother deserves to see their son sent to prison and no mother deserves to have a dead son. To the family and friends of the victim: I am terribly sorry for your loss. There are no words that I can say that will comfort your heart at this very traggic time in your life – I lost my husband 8 years ago in a car accident. I was angry when someone told me, “Time will heal.” I was angry because I thought that was a rude mark to say to someone at a burial. However, only her words still ring in my ear – time is healing and I hope that you all come to that place in your life soon too. May God give you the strength to endure everything you will have to face; upcoming trial, the funeral, etc. God Bless you all. To the mother of the killer: I can’t imainge what it would be like to lose a son to prison. You did not do this – so I hope you do not lie in bed and blame yourself. My heart hurts for you and I pray for you too that God will give you the strengh to endure everything you will face. I am terribly sorry you too have lost a son. May God be with all of you too.

Mary Elizabeth, I would love to see more of these comments like yours.
Focusing on the subject of the News and NOT making racial comments.
That is true: No one deserves to die in this manner. Rest in Peace.

      1. Mary Elizabeth says:

Thank you John – such a sad story of a very young life lost, isn’t it? 😦

  18. Johny Chingas says:

Wow… This “The Truth” guy gotta be a relative of the “KILLER”.
Come on, An 18 year old killing a 12 year old?, and using a Knife?
That’s a coward…..But, I am happy, because this killer with be with the rest of the population, and not in the Juvenile Hall..

  19. Laura says:

My sister lives in the apartment complex where this boy got stabbed….. it’s so sad that my 14 yr old niece had witness this at such a young age. My heart goes out to the 12 yr old boy family specially his mom. This is not about race it’s about a person making a bad choice. This guy is an adult who murder a 12yr old BOY. I hope there is justice and he rotten”s in jail or they give him the death penalty. My niece witness everything and by what she describes he had every intention of killing the boy. He had no mercy.
