WESTCHESTER, Calif. (CBS) — Two people were arrested Monday after a police pursuit in the Westchester area that reportedly ended with gunfire.

The chase occurred around 12:30 p.m. near Alverstone Avenue and 85th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said some shots were fired during the chase — possibly in the 9000 block of Bellanca Avenue — but there were no immediate reports of anyone being hit.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the pursuit.
