3 Reportedly Overcome At Hollywood Bowl With Food Poisoning

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Three people have reportedly been stricken with violent food poisoning at the Hollywood Bowl, according to officials.

Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department says  one of the three people was taken away from the Bowl in critical condition.

All three have been taken to area hospitals. The condition of the other two people is not known.

Early reports said the people overdosed on some type of substance but after an investigation it was determined food was the culprit.

All three said they ate at an undisclosed location before heading to the 33rd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival.

Scheduled acts included Dianne Reeves, the Eddie Palmieri Salsa Orchestra, Fourplay, a Night In Treme and the Cosby All-Stars, with Bill Cosby serving as the evening's master of ceremonies.
