Scientific Proof Behind The Allure Of 'Bad Boys'

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — According to researchers at University of British Columbia, women find "happy guys" significantly less sexually attractive than swaggering or brooding men.

Experts said these findings help to explain the enduring allure of "bad boys."

Researchers suggest that the reason women prefer proud-looking men has an evolutionary basis: it implies status, competence and an ability to provide for a partner and offspring.

UCLA Neuroscientist Dr. Jeff Schwartz stopped by KCAL9 Wednesday to explain the scientific reason why nice guys finish last.
