Officials Mull Over Beach Staffing Adjustments
LOS ANGELES (CBS/KNX1070) — Officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors say they will adjust staffing to make sure restrooms at county-run beaches are clean.
The head of the Department of Beaches and Harbors also wants to hire 13 people to help get the job done after complaints of dirty restrooms were made public -- a move that would cost $372,000.
Supervisor Don Knabe, whose district includes many beaches in LA County, tells KNX 1070 Newsradio he's been working to get staffing adjustments to make sure bathrooms are being cleaned and opened on time through the summer.

Officials say the money could come from fees paid by summer camp organizers for their use of the beach.
No decision was made Tuesday.
