LOS ANGELES (CBS) – A segment of the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway through the Sepulveda Pass was scheduled to be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Tuesday morning due to construction work on the Skirball Center Drive bridge.
The closure will affect the southbound side of the freeway between Burbank Boulevard and Getty Center Drive, according to Metro. Traffic will be detoured to Sepulveda Boulevard.
Some lanes could be closed as early as 10 p.m.
The closure is part of the same long-term construction project that will force a 53-hour closure of the entire freeway on July 16-17.
Monday’s work will not affect the northbound side of the freeway.
