LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A new procedure is using a patient’s blood — not fillers — to tighten skin and eliminate wrinkles.

Barbara Fain, 53, isn’t looking to turn back time, but she’s hoping time and a natural facelift will do just the trick.

”I’m all for natural. I’m not into the fake stuff, just want to maintain this look as long as i can,” said Fain.

Dr. Andre Berger uses the Selphyl procedure, a process that uses your own natural biology to fight off aging. The process involves no man-made injectables, but blood that is re-injected into areas to build collagen.

“You’re reducing wrinkles and adding volume, the essence of youthfulness,” said Dr. Berger.

The blood is processed before the injection. Dr. Berger says results take at least 6 weeks to appear.

“Its all about stimulating collagen stimulation… the same principles as we use to heal wounds we use in the face to plump and get rid of wrinkles and rejuvenate,” Dr. Berger said.

OMG Amy, don’t you love when someone walks in your head? I do. I love it as much as I love music and know it has alyaws been attached to my muse. Yes, I also love vinyl, those strange black discs. I could never pick an absolute fav but I love this one so much Rumors by Fleetwood Mac, and in particular the cut called Second Hand News that I named an entire romantic comedy Second Hand News. Thanks so much for the memories
