Missing Indio Man, 79, Back Home After Driving To Ariz.

INDIO (CBS) — A missing 79-year-old Indio man, who is medically fragile, was back home Sunday after reportedly driving to Arizona, police said.

Charles Tribble, who suffers from dementia and heart trouble, told police he wasn't sure how he got to Arizona or back to Indio, but he called family members to pick him up at the Greyhound station Saturday evening.

Family members reported Tribble missing Friday night after he drove away from his home in the 81000 block of Primrose Way in a silver, 2006 four-door Ford Focus, police spokesman Ben Guitron said.

Police received word about 10:10 a.m. Saturday that his car was spotted unattended in a parking lot in Buckeye, Ariz., but there was no sign of Tribble.

Guitron said police were informed that Tribble was back home about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
