Blind Dog Named ‘Stevie Wonder’ Gets New Home

SANTA MONICA (CBS) — Meet “Stevie Wonder” – a blind dog whose condition rendered him “unadoptable.”

This small dog was expected to be put to sleep at a Los Angeles County Animal Shelter but that all changed thanks to the Fuzzy Pet Foundation of Santa Monica. They not only found him a new home, but a family.

Jake Cashill, the dog’s new owner, says it took “Stevie Wonder” about an hour to get familiar with the layout of his home, but the pup is able to run around without a hitch.

“He knows the neighborhood, we take him on hikes. You would never know he’s blind,” Cashill added.

The Fuzzy Pet Foundation was formed in 2005 with a mission to rescue and rehabilitate stray animals and place them in loving homes.

What a beautiful happy ending. It looks as though together, Mr. Cashill and Stevie Wonder make a great team funny! I’d love to hear a duet.
