No Temblor Rattled Desert Hot Springs After All

DESERT HOT SPRINGS (CBS) — After reviewing computer records, scientists with the U.S. Geological Survey say the Coachella Valley was not rattled by a mild earthquake Sunday morning.

Automated seismographs had reported that a magnitude 3.1 quake struck near Desert Hot Springs at 6:53 a.m.

Subsequent human review, however, found that report to be false.
