The  Cubs will work out Trevor Gretzky on Saturday in Arizona in advance of Monday’s amateur draft, MLB.com reports.

And yes, he is related to Wayne Gretzky, so he has the pedigree of being the son of The Great One, perhaps the best player in NHL history.

Trevor, who hit .341 as a junior at Oaks Christian High School in California, will also work out for the Dodgers.

He has been playing as a DH since suffering a partially torn labrum in his throwing shoulder, and he has already signed a letter of intent to play at San Diego State, although that could change.

“To be drafted is one of my dreams since I saw my dad holding up jerseys when he was traded,” Trevor said in February when he took part in a scouting combine. “To be in a moment like that would be amazing.”
