Victor Rojas, the team’s announcer, reportedly tweeted that the team was on board the 737-800 aircraft that flew in from Kansas City at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday.
Angels Vice President of Communications Tim Mead told CBS2/KCAL9 the plane was expected to land at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, but was diverted to Los Angeles due to hydraulic problems.
A press release issued by LAX said the 61 people on board the plane got on buses heading for Orange County after the landing.
