SANTA ANA (CBS) — An appellate court has closed the book on a criminal case against two Capistrano Unified School District officials accused of creating a so-called “enemies list”.
KNX 1070′s Mike Landa reports the district’s Assistant Superintendent Susan McGill is off the hook after a lengthy legal battle.
The Fourth District Court of Appeal in Santa Ana exonerated McGill for her role in creating a database naming parents and other critics of the school board.
At the same time, justices cleared the District Attorney’s office of misconduct for accusing McGill of lying under oath.
Last December, the appellate court tossed out all charges against former Capistrano Unified School Superintendent James Fleming.
