Stutzman, who has been previously convicted of sexual battery, is accused of raping a 20-year-old woman and then sexually assaulting and kidnapping her 19-year-old roommate.

He reportedly released the roommate hours later, police said.

Stutzman had last been seen driving a 2005 gray Toyota Corolla with California license plate 6RXG434.

Officials said Stutzman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon outside a Motel 6 in Oceanside.
