Hip Hop Clothing Entrepreneur Dead At 34

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jonas Bevacqua, who co-founded the popular hip hop-oriented clothing company LRG, has died. He was 34.

Orange County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino says Bevacqua was found dead in his Laguna Beach home on Tuesday.

The cause of death wasn’t immediately evident, and the county coroner’s office planned an autopsy Wednesday. Calls to LRG’s corporate offices in Irvine went unanswered Tuesday.

Bevacqua and Robert Wright founded the Lifted Research Group in 1999.

Entrepreneur magazine reported the company, known to patrons simply as LRG, had sales of $150 million in 2006, placing it at No. 5 on that year’s list of the 500 fastest growing companies.

LRG began as strictly a clothing company but has branched out to include sales of electronic devices, music and other items.

Easy there, I’ll deal with the spiks later. I was unaware the dead guy was oriental, I have nothing bad to say, they’re great at math and science, but can use driving lessons. However, they did get my niece thrown out of UCLA for some harmless comments.
