LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hollywood has hustled up a hangover for the record books.

Studio estimates released Monday show “The Hangover Part II” set a new high for comedy debuts with $105.8 million over the long Memorial Day weekend.

The blockbuster sequel also led Hollywood to a new revenue record of around $280 million for the holiday weekend.

The movie raised its domestic haul to $137.4 million since opening Thursday, nearly half the business 2009′s “The Hangover” did over its entire run.

Opening at No. 2 behind “The Hangover Part II” was another sequel, the animated adventure “Kung Fu Panda 2,” with $62.2 million. “Kung Fu Panda 2″ has pulled in $68 million domestically since its Thursday debut.

Slipping to No. 3 with $50.4 million was “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”

I wonder how many people spent their last dollars until the next pay check just to see a movie? While these cast of directors and actors sit back like fat rats and laugh. Then you see one of these stars in person and they just look at you like the broke P OS they think you are. I try at all cost to help the rich not get richer. How many of you people took time to reflect what this weekend is all about?

SMH…putting WAY too much thought into it amigo. I haven’t been to a theater in 20-years. There are a few of us out here on the perimeter who actually have lives.

Yes, putting thought into something is indeed a sin here in the United States. SMH actually brings up some good points,, but unfortunately it requires an IQ above 60 in order comprehend the statement being made. Sadly, few who read this post fall into that category. Those who think that movies like this are just “sooooo f&*#in’ hilarious” are the same ones who drive around in their cars with dual Laker flags on their cars, wear their baseball caps on sideways, think “Two and Half Men” is actually funny, and play X-box for 3 hours a day.

This goes to show that people nowadays are depraved and have a sick sense of humor. How does an immoral movie get this type of opening and the family movies don’t? People are disgusting.
