Passenger Injured In Car-To-Car Shooting

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A passenger was hit by gunfire in a car-to-car shooting near downtown Los Angeles that authorities say is likely gang-related.

Police spokeswoman Karen Rayner says the 52-year-old man was hospitalized in stable condition after the incident on South Central Avenue near the 10 Freeway early Sunday.

Investigators say a motorist drove up to the passenger side of the vehicle and one of his occupants fired several shots, hitting the victim.

Police have not named any suspects.
