Authorities ID Man Fatally Stabbed At Covina Party

COVINA (CBS) — A coroner's official Sunday identified a man who was stabbed to death at a graduation party in unincorporated Charter Oak near Covina.

Joshua Santos of Los Angeles was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead after being stabbed in the 20000 block of Stephanie Drive about 2 a.m. Saturday, according to officials.

Approximately 20 to 25 young adults were at the party when two men began arguing. The argument escalated into a fight and Santos was stabbed in the upper torso, Sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht said.

According to police, the suspect took off and is still outstanding.

Coroner's Lt. Cheryl MacWillie says Santos was 19.
