COVINA (CBS) — A man was stabbed to death at a graduation party in unincorporated Charter Oak near Covina.

Sheriff's Sgt. Everett Rodriguez of the San Dimas Station said the stabbing took place in the 20000 block of Stephanie Drive about 2 a.m. Saturday.

Approximately 20 to 25 young adults were at the party when two men began arguing. The argument escalated into a fight and the victim was stabbed in the upper torso, sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht said.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was declared dead at a hospital.

Hecht said the suspect ran from the scene and was outstanding. A weapon has not been recovered.
