ARLETA (CBS) — Police are hoping members of the public can help authorities identify two burglary suspects that were caught on surveillance tape on April 12.

The burglary occurred in the 9200 block of Canterbury Avenue in Arleta about 4:30 p.m., according to a news release by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police say one suspect can be seen on tape kicking the front door of the home open, going inside and leaving soon after. The suspect reportedly left without taking anything, the news release stated.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact Mission Area Burglary Detective Samer Issa at (818) 838-9977 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Those wishing to stay anonymous can call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

Looks like a UPS note in the door. Our house was robbed some time ago. UPS attempted delivery, no one home and they left the note on the door. Good tip off to rob a house. Burglars knock, no answer and come on in. Rethink how you should have packages delivered to your residence!
Burglars were caught ten days later and are now serving 17 years in CA state prison.

Always be on the look out folks, keep a pen and paper handy so you can write down suspicious cars, people. I live in Arleta and this place is a dump so you need to keep your eyes open at all times. Your neighborhood could be next.

Gee. I don’t know. Maybe because the bust in a door that needs to be fixed now. The would have taken something put they got scared off. More importantly, it looks like they work in pairs so they will do this again and again until they get caught. Why wait until someone actually does get their things stolen because the police didn’t bother going after these two?
