Woman Killed, Officers Injured In Inglewood Crash

INGLEWOOD (CBS) — A woman in her 40s was killed and two officers were injured during a crash in Inglewood early Tuesday morning.

The crash, which involved a patrol car and a Range Rover, took place at Manchester and Prairie avenues just before 1 a.m.

Two patrol cars were responding to a call when one of them collided with the SUV, according to CHP officer Mark Garrett.

The female passenger in the Range Rover was thrown from the vehicle during the accident and died on the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. The female driver of the Ranger Rover was not injured. Two officers suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The officers were responding to an officer involved shooting that took place a few miles away at the time of the accident.
