Authorities Seek Witnesses To Santa Clarita ‘Hot Boarding’ Crash

SANTA CLARITA (CBS) — Authorities put out a call Tuesday for anyone who may have witnessed a crash involving a skateboarder who was fatally injured while “hot boarding.”

Edward Culhane, 35, suffered head injuries in the crash that occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday on Cedarsfall Drive east of Urbandale Avenue.

He was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where he died Monday.

The alleged driver, 33-year-old Ryan Howell, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Detective Jeff Maag at (661) 255-1121.

    These two idiots were OVER 30 and DOING this ? I feel SO sorry for the one who died but come on, at least let the driver get some fairness in judgment as he was ‘impaired’ the moron who held onto his bumper KNEW the risks !
